Please Note: This class is for advanced beginners. Students who take our fall Crochet for Beginners will have the skills to take this class. Participants should already be comfortable with these basic crochet stitches:
- Slip knot
- Chain stitch
- Single crochet
- Double crochet
NEW! If you already know crochet basics and are ready to expand your skill set, this one-night class is designed for you. The iconic granny square is one of the most versatile elements in crochet—once you master it, you unlock the secret to crafting custom blankets, cozy pillows, stylish bags, sweaters, and so much more.
Join instructor Cat Connor (who is also teaching Crochet for Beginners) for this workshop to learn how to read patterns and execute three distinct granny square designs, refining your technique and adding fresh motifs to your creative toolkit.

Please bring the following materials to class:
- Crochet Hook: Size G (4.0 mm) or Size H (5.0 mm)
- Yarn: Four skeins of worsted weight yarn (marked with a #4 on the label) in coordinating colors
- Scissors
- Measuring tape or ruler
- Composition notebook and pen or pencil for note taking
- Pocket folder for handouts
- Plastic stitch markers
