Description
In-person class at Fox Chapel Area High School.
Discover the satisfaction of crafting something beautiful with your own hands. Whether you’re new to woodworking or have some experience with hand tools, this small-group workshop will guide you through creating a unique cherry wood project—perfect for gifting or keeping.
Using hand tools and a limited number of power tools, you’ll learn the fundamentals of woodworking, along with proper tool use, safety practices, and finishing techniques. The goal is to build both your skills and confidence so you can continue creating projects at home.
Just in time for the holidays, choose your project:
- Spoon: a great beginner project that allows for creative, free-form design
- Salad tongs: a foldable, spring-action design that requires more precise layout and extra time
Class sessions include instructor demonstrations and guided hands-on practice. Students are required to watch—at their convenience—a pre-recorded safety lesson with Tony. The recording will be emailed a few days before the first class.
Your class fee includes all materials, including beautiful cherry wood. Class size is limited to allow for individualized instruction and support.
Work safely, creatively, and confidently as you bring your project—and your craftsmanship—to life!
