NEW! Whether you have a story to tell, knowledge to share, or a passion project in mind, this class will equip you with the foundational skills you need to begin creating your own podcasts.

This class is designed for beginners and anyone curious about the world of audio storytelling. Bring your smartphone (any brand) and laptop (PC or Mac). Class size is limited.

Podcasting is storytelling, and the key to being a good storyteller is learning to listen better. In this interactive class, Casey Georgi, an experienced podcast producer who has worked on shows for The Wall Street Journal, Sony Music, and Audioboom will teach:

• Fundamentals of Interviewing: Learn how to conduct engaging and effective interviews.
• Successful Storytelling: Discover the key ingredients for captivating audio stories.
• Podcasting Insights: Explore what works and what doesn't through spirited discussions.
• Recording Techniques: Best practices for recording guests on your cell phone to achieve optimal sound quality.
• Basic Audio Editing: Get an overview of audio editing using free software.
• Home Studio Setup: Find out how to set up a basic home studio with minimal resources.

This engaging session will guide you through the essentials of podcasting and help you start your own audio storytelling journey. At the end of the six-week series, you will have completed a short audio story and leave with the tools needed to create new podcasts on your own.
