Description
In-person class at Fox Chapel Area High School.
NEW! While golf, paddle tennis, pickleball, racquetball, squash, and tennis are not high-impact sports, many aspects of the game take a toll on your body. Twisting motions and changing directions frequently is hard on your ankles, knees, and hips. Swinging the club or racquet and making contact with the ball is stressful on your shoulder and elbow joints.
Join Sarah Andrews from Life in Motion Gym and learn strength and conditioning exercises specifically designed for golf and racquet sport players. Sarah, an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, will demonstrate and then you will practice, with her guidance, exercises that focus on:
- Functional hip and knee strength and conditioning
- Rotational core work and endurance
- Functional shoulder and arm strengthening
Class-Specific Notes
Bring resistance bands and 3-8 pound weights if you own them. Otherwise, they will be provided.
