NEW NIGHT! NEW PROJECT! No previous drawing or painting experience needed to fully participate in this Asian Zen-influenced art style. Express your spirit and individuality while creating a beautiful piece of art perfect for gifting or displaying in your own home.

Sumi means black ink and e means painting. Deborah Kollar, an accomplished Chinese Brush Stroke and Calligraphy artist, will demonstrate and provide guided practice as you:

• Learn to handle the brush.
• Master the four basic brush strokes.
• Become familiar with the symbolism and philosophy behind each brush stroke.

During this 3-week course, you will create a beautiful lotus scroll picture. Learn to paint the leaves and flower while becoming familiar with the rich symbolism associated with this beautiful aquatic plant.

Class fee includes all materials needed to create the project. Class size limited.

Experience the joy of learning this beautiful art form using a brush (fude), ink (sumi), and thin absorbent "rice-paper" (washi).
