NEW! Pruning is both an art and science. While it can often be challenging at first, knowledge and practice make perfect!

Join Jake Milofsky, an ISA Certified Arborist with Tree Pittsburgh, and learn proper techniques for pruning trees in your landscape. Start the evening learning a tree's biological response to pruning as well as the art of following a plant's natural form and shape. Then move outside and see proper pruning in action. Dress accordingly!

Learn important lessons to ensure your trees remain healthy, strong, and beautiful. This class will cover:

• Overall approach to pruning and getting the timing right.
• What to target when pruning including the 3 Ds: Dead, Damaged, and Diseased branches.
• Technique for making a proper pruning cut.

Proper pruning of your trees guarantees success for the plant and your environment. Bring your questions! We will use Tree Pittsburgh's pruning tools, but if you have questions about one of your hand tools you are welcome to bring it to class.
