NEW! Pickleball is a great form of exercise, not to mention a fun game. But it can be hard on your body.
Although Pickleball is not a high-impact sport, some aspects of the game take a toll on your body. Changing directions frequently is hard on the ankles, knees, and hips. Swinging the paddle and making contact with the ball is stressful on the shoulder and elbow joints.
Join Sarah Andrews from Life in Motion Gym and learn strength and conditioning exercises specifically designed for pickleball players. Sarah, an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, will demonstrate and then you will practice, with her guidance, exercises that focus on:
- Functional hip and knee strength and conditioning
- Rotational core work and endurance
- Functional shoulder and arm strengthening
