Bleeding emergencies happen every day at work, home, school, and everywhere in between. Bystanders are usually the first to arrive when there is life-threatening bleeding and they can begin life-saving treatment quickly while waiting for emergency medical services.

Join Linda Reiger, EMS Specialist, for this important demonstration and hands-on class. Learn to recognize life-threatening bleeding and act quickly and effectively to save a life. Watch and practice three quick, life-saving techniques:

1. Proper way to use your hands to apply pressure
2. Packing a wound to control bleeding
3. Correct application and use of a tourniquet 

With these quick actions, you will be empowered to make a life or death difference when a bleeding emergency happens!
