Description

In-person class at Fox Chapel Area High School. Everyone must follow FCASD Health & Safety Protocols.

Learn to play the bagpipes even if you have no musical experience, can’t read music, and don’t own bagpipes!

Fun Fact: Walt McGhee got his start playing bagpipes as a student in the original FCAAE bagpipe class!

Using your personal practice "chanter", weekly lessons will focus on:

• Learning the fingering.
• Gaining a basic understanding of the musical notes.
• Playing some tunes.

Class size limited to allow for personalized guidance. 

Additional Notes

No class April 16th.

Material fee: $95 for practice chanter and exercises/music handouts which are yours to keep. Please pay instructor the first night of class via cash or check.

Detailed parking and walking directions to your classroom will be emailed the day before the first class.
