Description

In-person class at Fox Chapel Area High School. All FCAAE participants must follow FCASD Health & Safety Protocols.

New format! This class is designed for students to watch and learn. Please do not bring your furniture to this class.

Spend an evening learning while watching Kathleen Stanley, owner of Second Chance Designs, transform an old piece of furniture into a fresh, updated design. Learn everything you need so you can refinish your treasure on your schedule.

Kathleen will teach - and demonstrate - every step of the furniture refinishing, revival, and renewal process.

• Proper use of tools.
• Sanding and removing old finishes.
• Repairing cosmetic defects.
• Refinishing with paint or stain to change and enhance the look.
• Sealing so your final product will look its best.

Bonus. Upon registration, students are invited to email a picture of a piece they want to refinish. Kathleen will devote the end of the evening to answering your questions and providing her suggestions and ideas.
